When faced with an awkward social situation, have you ever wondered: "What would Emily Post do?" Even though the diva of etiquette wrote her world famous book in 1922, much of her advice translates amazingly  well into the 21 st Century. Why? Emily Post based her rules on the Golden Rule, the time-honored basis of all social interaction: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Sometimes though, we need a gentle reminder. Present day Emily of Emily's Teas, has taken the basic rules of etiquette and adapted them to meet the needs of the 21 st century. Besides the basic topics of communication, social and table decorum, she incorporates a discussion of the etiquette of the new and constantly changing world of technology. The lessons below give examples of some of the topics Emily can discuss. These topics can be covered over a full day session or can be broken up into hour sessions to fit your schedule. These can be adapted to children, teens and adults. Contact Emily to plan for the needs of your group.
